The Magnolia Project Community Development Program is built for mission-driven educators and community leaders beyond Sonoma and Marin Counties who believe every student deserves purpose, possibility, and economic empowerment.
Whether you’re running a nonprofit, supporting students as a work-based learning coordinator or counselor, or leading youth programs in your community, you’ll leave the Magnolia Project Community Development Program equipped to launch Magnolia Project’s Career Explorations and Apprenticeship pathways in your own community, helping students connect with real-world learning, mentorship, and a meaningful future.
What You’ll Learn:
The Magnolia Project Community Development program provides the tools, templates, curriculum, and guidelines to implement Magnolia Project’s Career Explorations and Apprenticeship pathways in your own school, community or region.
How it Works:
Our semester-long training program includes synchronous and asynchronous virtual sessions that walk you through how to design and implement Magnolia Project’s middle and high school Career Exploration and Apprenticeship pathways in your own community, alongside educators and non-profit leaders in other communities. You’ll also get hands-on experience at active Magnolia Project sites in Marin and Sonoma Counties, and walk away with full access to Magnolia Project’s proprietary curriculum, mentor recruitment and implementation materials.
What’s Included:
Semester-long virtual training and coaching
Includes cohort sessions, personalized implementation support, and office hours
Immersive site visit & hands-on learning experience
2–3 days visiting active Magnolia Project programs in Sonoma/Marin Counties Includes meals, training materials, and direct observation of real-world student experiences
Access to the full Magnolia Project model
Career Explorations or Apprenticeship curriculum
Mentor recruitment, vetting, and training materials
Editable planning templates, communication tools, and student-facing resources
