About Us

Students need guidance and durable skills to help them engage in school today – and to find their future path for tomorrow.

In response, the Magnolia Project connects hundreds of middle and high school students in grades 7-12 across Northern California with dozens of local businesses, where they build durable skills through personalized career exploration as well as hands-on experiences alongside trusted industry mentors.

Founded in 2022, the Magnolia Project was named after the magnolia flower, one of the only flowers that blooms consistently across a variety of climates and soil conditions. We believe that when students are supported, affirmed, and comprehensively prepared to pursue their meaningful next phase in life, they will bloom wherever life takes them – and that they and their families, communities, and local economies will flourish around them.
