Executive Director
Gia Biaggi founded Magnolia Project in 2022 through a High Tech High New School Creation Fellowship. A former middle school teacher, she has a B.A. from Kenyon College, and an M.Ed. from the High Tech High Graduate School of Education. She has held fellowships with Future Founders and the Watson Institute and received the 2017 Samuel Huntington Award for Public Service.

Program Director
Monica brings 16 years of experience fostering learning and literacy among middle school, high school, college, and adult learners across multiple disciplines. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Latin American and Latino Studies from UC Santa Cruz and pursued graduate studies in Applied Linguistics at the University of Victoria in British Columbia.

Director of Strategic Operations
Sophie DeWitt is a program strategist and community builder with experience in training, advocacy, and operational support. Before joining Magnolia Project, she coordinated training initiatives at Form Energy and led the international travel program at Moment. She is passionate about making complex programs clear, human, and actionable and building stronger communities through trust, care, and collective problem-solving.

Marin County Program Coordinator
Isabel holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Sonoma State University and gained hands-on educational experience working with young people in public school classrooms across Sonoma County and the YMCA during her time at Sonoma State. Witnessing the impact of positive mentorship and supportive educational programs inspired her commitment to educational equity and continues to motivate her work with Magnolia Project.

Sonoma County Program Coordinator
Skyler holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Sonoma State University, where she was the president of Alpha Omicron Pi and gained experience working in classrooms across Sonoma County. Witnessing the impact of strong mentorship and supportive educational programs inspired her commitment to educational equity and her work with Magnolia Project. Outside of work, Skyler enjoys reading and watching the sunset.

Sonoma County Program Coordinator
Ashleigh has worked with nonprofit organizations and supported elementary and middle school students as a classroom aide and coach since she was in high school. She earned her B.A. in Sociology from Sonoma State University in 2024, where she was a Koret Student Scholar and completed an independent research study on symbolic exchange in work with children. At Magnolia Project, she draws on this background to empower students and create meaningful, collaborative programs.

Mendocino County Program Coordinator
Megan Tunzi joins Magnolia Project with 19 years in education, focusing on agriculture at the high school and college levels. She has a M.S. in Agriculture Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and maintains her Single Subject Agriculture Teaching Credential. She has been recognized as CATA Mentor of the Year (2021) and is excited to bring her passion to Magnolia Project. Megan credits much of her success to her grandparents and her agriculture instructors, who helped her explore different career options and supported her on her journey.
